A proud misfit in the traditional hospitality industry, citizenM is poised (with a cocktail in hand, of course) to take its second bite of the Big Apple after the success of its Times Square location.
A red-and-black misfit in a sea of beige, citizenM gives its motto of ‘affordable luxury for the people’ a new New York twist. All the trademarks are there: the huge living room instead of a lobby, 300 bedrooms with ultra-comfortable XL king-size beds, and a canteenM kitchen that serves food 24/7 to arrivals from all time zones.
That’s not all. Standing 246 feet high, citizenM New York Bowery will be the tallest modular hotel in the world, with a cloudM rooftop bar for spectacular views far across the Lower East Side. If those won’t steal guests’ hearts, the Museum of Street Art definitely will. They collaborated with the street art collective 5 Pointz for an art installation spanning the full 20-floor staircase.
The citizenM New York Bowery hotel lives in the neighborhood built by misfits, for misfits – New York’s oldest thoroughfare, the Bowery – and is now taking bookings starting in September.
