PowerSolutions Live Springs into Success in San Francisco

More than 60 San Francisco-area travel agents and 27 of the travel industry’s top suppliers were in attendance at PowerSolutions LIVE in San Francisco

Travel agents and the industry's top suppliers gathered in San Francisco and the Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf for CCRA's PowerSolutions Live on March 28th. These events have always been a great tool for travel agents looking to grow their skills, network, and expand their education, and this year they are better than ever. CCRA has enhanced the PowerSolutions format for 2018 to include more educational segments which include round table sessions for advanced agents, and a marketing workshop hosted by Tammy Levent, CEO of Elite Travel & Founder of TASK, called PowerStrategies. Margie Jordan, CCRA's Vice President of Agency Education hosted her new workshop as well which focused on business strategies for entrepreneurs. After the new, expanded agenda proved successful at PowerSolutions Live in Atlanta, the CCRA team couldn't wait to bring it to the West Coast.

The event started with a keynote presentation by Israel Tourism’s Richard Liverance, and CCRA’s Director of Meetings & Events, Stacey Tarr, had this to say:

“Richard Liverance, Director of Marketing for Israel Tourism, was fantastic and super knowledgeable and started off the event on a great note. It's great to see how PowerSolutions events connect people like Richard with eager-to-learn agents."

The keynote presentation was followed by the Supplier and Platinum Agency Round Tables and PowerStrategies Session. Agents at the round table sessions got the opportunity to make a personal connection with suppliers and ask questions about working together. Stacey said, “After getting so much great feedback on the new and improved agenda in Atlanta, I was so excited to see how agents would react in San Francisco. Of course, they loved it! They really enjoyed and benefitted from quality time with the suppliers.” Meanwhile, agents at Tammy Levent's PowerStrategies session got a marketing workshop for that extra boost in their business.

Rounding out the educational sessions was Margie Jordan’s session, "Making the Leap from Travel Agent to Business Owner,” which focused on developing a niche, strategic supplier partnerships, and setting financial goals.

Singapore Airlines sponsored the break and everyone had the chance to enjoy Singapore Sling cocktails before heading to Hyatt Centric's beautiful North Point Lounge for the trade show.

The event ended with the trade show, where there were 27 of the industry’s top suppliers representing all different services, from hotels, airlines, tourism boards, and technology providers, including:
